I feel as though I am always traveling. In my second blog I noted about my many homes. I also like to travel around the world. My family does not regularly like to travel, which has left the rest up to me. As a sophomore in high school I went to Florida with a friend, the British Virgin Islands with another, and by the time I was a junior I had been to the Bahamas. I go to New York sometimes in the winter, and I travel to the beach every summer.
Surprisingly, I do not mind transportation. I love long car rides, buses, and airplanes. No matter the distance I just love the aspect of traveling. It might sound odd, but I have never been bored a second in my life. I do not let a second go to waste, and I have such a thirst for life. Even on a Megabus, riding through the "boondocks", I have had the time of my life. Everything excites me.
Out of all of the places I have been, I am the most excited about California. It might be cliche but since I was a little girl, I have felt like I have belonged there. Maybe it was because of the Red Hot Chili Peppers "Californication" on repeat for hours, but that is another story. I just know that I am going to love it. I become increasingly more excited every day, and I am ready to leave! I expect I will attend nearly every fashion conference as well as the ones about event planning. I am also overexcited about hearing Biz Stone speak. I anticipate that I will gain a lot of knowledge and I cannot wait to share it with my peers.
Carly, the explorer. I like the sound of that. I love new experiences and I love being in surroundings that make me feel uncomfortable at first. It brings out the best in me, and that is when I feel the most myself. When working, and within my classwork I prefer to be on top of things and know what will happen next. I like to immerse myself in my schoolwork, and I am always a step ahead of everyone else. In traveling, I like to be surprised. I love not knowing what will happen next. That is one of the things I love most about life. Experiencing new things makes me happy, and I hope that I never lose that feeling - no matter how much I have seen and done.
Until next time. Cheers!
